We recently embarked on a day-long journey to the exquisite ‘Wine Capital of India’ – Nashik to celebrate the new 2012 Ford Fiesta line-up. In collaboration with the Indian Wine List we invited 16 super enthusiastic guests for an experience especially planned for them.

The idea of a mesmerising drive, visit to the wineries and a chance to meet new people was received with open arms by our fun-loving group of 16 guests and that made the Fiesta Uncorked an excuse for a perfect day out.

Early morning of 5 May, we set out for a unique road trip on the Mumbai-Nashik highway to explore the two beautiful wineries – Zampa and York. Nikhil Merchant, one of our guests tweeted about his experience as a ‘super rollicking time’ and also shared an album on Facebook. Do check it out

From the picture-perfect surroundings to fabulous wine-tasting sessions, Fiesta Uncorked was an exciting, fun-filled and memorable experience for all.

While the drive in class-leading Ford Fiesta cars (both AT and MT) became a hit among the convoy, the visit to the wineries even doubled the excitement. The addictive walky-talkies gave us company on our way back and we enjoyed every minute of our ride.

With one of the best wine-tasting rooms, Zampa proved to be the perfect hosts with some interesting wine-tasting sessions. To top it all, the participants got to taste some of the most delicious wines straight from the best wine-makers of the country. Neha Dutta describes the Zampa wine-tasting room as “The mock master-chef Australia set”.

On the other hand, York winery, known to be the youngest vineyard in the country, welcomed the participants with their exceptional wines. Esha Rihal tweeted “Never enjoyed the wine the way I did today” describing her experience.

Manav Parekh, one of the participants expressed his desire to learn driving in order to be able to drive the Fiesta. Nikhil Merchant also expressed his love for Fiesta Automatic on Twitter as he got a chance to drive it.

At the end of the day, the participants were presented personalised wine bottles as a token of our appreciation and as a parting gift. Neha Dutta also tweeted saying “Good times at #FiestaUncorked Thanks for a great trip and a customized wine bottle.”
