Ford Car Lovers Speak: Part 1

A Ford car is not just any car. It’s about driving pleasure… it’s about the feeling of being in control while you are behind the wheel… it’s about performance, stability, reliability, ride and handling, and above all being affordable.

Total peace of mind comes with owning a Ford vehicle. It’s all about relishing the experience of car ownership. Our customers are feeling the difference of our efforts, not only because we build cars with superior quality, but because we aggressively pursue a strategy of lowering the cost of ownership.

We value our customers and we know they love our cars. But how much do they really love their Ford? You can hear it straight from them.

We travelled across the country, listening to and recording our customers’ stories and experiences. And, after hearing what they had to say about their ownership experience, we were inspired to put it up on Driving Ford.

This series of first-hand accounts comes from just some of the many proud Ford owners in India.

To kick off the series, we have Anish Iyer, a 23-year-old media professional based in Chennai. He speaks passionately about his Ford Fiesta’s handling on the road and the overall motoring experience. Anish also speaks about his car’s mileage, handling, his experience with Ford service centres and much more.

My Ford Figo Regn. No. KL7/BN1008 having covered 2100Km in three months has got both the front mud flaps BROKEN !!! The flaps are very rigid nature and because of the low platform, get broken when they hit hump, etc. I had to pay for the replacements in the first free service. Please take corrective action to make the flaps more pliable. Though the music system boasts of USB port facility and specifically mentions in the user guide that USB port is available in the glove compartment , the same is not available!!! I was asked to pay about 2000/- rupees to provide USB attachment. Ford should provide the USB facility free of coast, since this faciility is mentioned as an original fitting in the user guide as well as on the music system itself. Otherwise, I am very much satisfied with the performance of MY Figo.

    Hello Blog editors,

Why use “justified” text alignment? Is it the “Indian” gene acting up? Have you guys even seen international blogs, sites etc. “Left” alignment is the norm. Just because words line up evenly on both sides does not mean you put uneven spacing between words.

Also, if you are going to use a captcha, allow refreshing of the word. You do know sometimes the letters shown are not readable.

I was planning to book a Figo. But looking at how Ford is hiring idiots, I am not too confident about the car and would be moving on to Chevy Beat or Maruti Ritz. Bye

Am the the past 3years owner of ford cars… recently i sold my old Escort and bought new Ikon 1.4Tdci. I inspired with its performance and stability, Better seating comfort, A/C cooling is outstanding. i put hard long travel upto 2000kms within 5days upto the max speed of 160kms. i feel comfort to cruise. gud stability at high speeds, better steering & minimum body roll in tight critical cornering – thats why i love ford to drive.

  4. Ford Figo says:

The Figo only has a Aux-in feature, and is USB compatible. USB Cable is available as accessory. Please check with Dealership.
Thanks for your feedback on the mudflaps.

  5. kunal says:

why is usb cable of 1200 rs. any gold or titanium inside it ? low ownership cost means cheap accessories and spare part.

  6. kunal says:

when sony stereo with usb comes for 4000rs then when a usb cable cost 1200rs ??????????????????????????//

  7. M.Mukundan says:

I was contacted over phone by people from Ford Madras and also from Cochin. Customer service manager, Cochin informed that USB cable will be provided free of cost with in two weeks. It is almost two months since the promise was made. I am yet to hear from them !!! The contention of Ford Figo (July 29) that the car has USB compatible AUX- in is not correct. The hand book of the music system clearly states that the USB port is available in the glove compartment. Why this claim, if it was only USB compatible?

  8. Linu Conil says:

I am a proud owner of the Ford Figo Zxi Petrol. The car is awesome. After I bought home the car, I was desperately trying to find the USB port in the glove compartment. As I didn’t find it, I called up Kairali Ford and they said that it is not std. They said it will cost Rs.1200. Is that official?

  9. M.Mukundan says:

Got the USB cable fitted. Prompt and courteous service from Kairali Ford. Thanks. Very happy with the performance of FIGO.

  10. Linu Conil says:

Does the USB cable come as standard or do I have to buy it? Kairali Ford said they have two versions – the normal one for Rs. 435/- and another for Rs. 1200/-. Dont know what is the difference between the both. Can someone enlighten me?
