This year, the Ford Figo travelled all over India, while Discover Smart Drive Season 2 went international. Meanwhile, the Fiesta Café’s high-tech experience won over several car and gizmo lovers as they lined up to check out the car.

To celebrate the sales of 1 lakh Figos, teams from Kolkata, Pune and Bengaluru set off on a Bharat Yatra. During the Yatra, the three Figos visited 1000 towns across 18 states in 100 days, and car enthusiasts from the smallest towns experienced Figo’s smart features like Bluetooth technology, plush interiors and best-in-class air conditioning.

After the all-new Ford Fiesta’s unveil in May, the Fiesta Café in a Delhi mall became a hot spot for tech lovers and auto enthusiasts alike. They all came to enjoy the techtastic features of the car, and left amazed by sheer technological brilliance of the car and the cafe. Needless to say, the innovative digital Fiesta Café pavilion was a hit!

In August, four enthusiastic people help us spread the word on the All-New Fiesta with the Fiesta Experience. During their interactive 10-day, 1310 km drive, the awesome foursome shared their experiences with Fiesta’s high-tech features through a series of real life incidents, such cruise control, voice control and more!

October saw the Ford Endeavour team and a group of thrill-seekers go on the first Great Ford Endeavour Drive at Camp Wild on the Gurgaon-Faridabad Highway. Putting the Endeavour’s amazing off-road capabilities to the test, the Endeavour lovers felt the rush of adrenalin while maneuvering the SUV through the rough and tough terrains. They all admired the car’s powerful handling of bumps, rough roads, flying dirt, et al.

The most-awaited event of the year came toward the end—Ford Figo Discover Smart Drive Season 2. This time, four teams drove separate routes across India and completed missions along the way to score points. The winning team, Team Bhaigiri (Gunjan and Gaurav Juyal) drove the Figo in Nepal and even viewed the entire Himalayan range from a helicopter!

With the overwhelming response we got to these special events in 2011, we hope to bring more hands-on experiences for Ford lovers across India next year as well!
