Ford’s Smart Technology Exhibit at Computex 2012
Imagine if your car could have the intuitive powers that could read your mind and easily do things for you that can otherwise irritate you – like help you find that parking space, suggest you alternate routes to save you from traffic, read out your text messages while driving, check your appointments calendar, shut the garage door for you etc. Sounds impossible? Hear this…
Ford Motor Company is going places showcasing its latest innovations in connected services and cloud computing at Computex 2012 that allows seamless integration between your personal and business life, thus; making our digital lives a part of our vehicles.
Further enhancing our position as a global leader in technology, we are going further and participating in Asia’s biggest computer exhibition where we’ll demonstrate our class-leading in-car connectivity technology to an influential global audience over the period June 5-9, 2012.
“At Ford, we believe that the intelligent application of technology can help us deliver the very best customer experience and help us contribute to a better world, so we strive to build technologically advanced cars that make driving greener, safer and smarter for all,” said Dave Schoch, chairman and CEO of Ford Greater China.
“Customers want to stay connected when they are driving, and Ford is helping provide them with smart and convenient features that help them remain in touch with their digital lives in a safer, simpler and smarter way.”
All eyes on the EcoSport’s launch, the car comes with an affordable SYNC technology that allows drivers to simply use their voice to control the entertainment system through WIFI or Bluetooth. The breakthrough technology gives drivers the freedom and convenience to control while letting them feel safe by keeping their eyes on the road. Ford Fiesta PowerShift Automatic that was launched in February this year comes with inbuilt voice control technology, not to forget the Ford Figo that is the only car in its segment to be ported with Bluetooth.
Our team will make major announcements related to latest technological developments during Computex, as we continue to expand the global reach of our class leading innovations. We would also share how we’re exploring possibilities in using cloud technology to enable a seamless lifestyle between home, office and car linked through access to the driver’s personal information – and how this will enhance people’s lives into the future.
On June 6, Ford team will also participate in a panel discussion on the topic of “Collaborative Synchronization for a smart life,” where our connected services that are improving the driving experience for customers around the world will be shared.
